Post Widescreen split screen games?
Are there any widescreen split-screen games out there? Rememer bond for the Super Nintendo console? You could have 4 people playing one another at the same time.

I have a PC.

thanx

Oh well, here is some info I dug up from the last time I asked this question a year or so ago on AVS:

Here are some widescreen games

half life 2
Doom3
Toca Race Driver 2
Halo PC and Farcry

These games I have been told support widescreen & split screen

Colin McRae Rally 2004
Serious Sam 2
WoO { World of outlaws }
Saturday night speedway ,both by ratbag , support split screen , another racing game also that does is MotoGP2 and also superbike 2001 by EAsports , all support custom resolutions

Anything change? Any other cool widescreen games out there? Particularly multiplayer split-screen games?

thanx

:)

I have been looking for some 2 player (split screen) games as well, especially ones that support widescreen. I have found TOCA Race Driver 3 to be very good (you can even switch from vertical to horizontal split screen). DO NOT get F.E.A.R. or Call of Duty 2, which were very disappointing (F.E.A.R. has no widescreen support and poor graphics for such a nice game, neither one has 2 player options, and although Call of Duty 2 has good graphics, it has no controller/gamepad support).

Does anyone know of some good 2 player shooting games for PC (such as where you can either fight with or against each other-- not online multiplayer though)??? Thanks!!

Since PC games cannot use dual mouse, I doubt any FPS can have split screen. The FPS games above may work for PS or Xbox but there is no split screen option for them on the PC.

The only ones that might work split screen are racing games. I know Need for Speed had split screen options.

Although i won't argue that keyboard and mouse are the best for FPS, some people also have dual USB gamepads, which can be used to control any games, including FPSes. So split screen FPS are possible were it not for the laziness of game developers.
