Works fine in 856x482x32 at 60 Hz. Registry setting for changing resolution is:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\Video]
"reswidth"=dword:00000358
"resheight"=dword:000001e2
"colordepth"=dword:00000020
"adapter"=dword:00000000
"refreshrate"=dword:0000003c

Select Decimal instead of Hex to enter normal values. The game has to be started once before it stores settings in registry.

How would one change the resolution to 1280x800? I don't quite understand what it is you're changing.

You change the dword value in the registry for the two keys:

reswidth
resheight

But you have to use Hexidecimal values. If you aren't familiar with editing the registry and/or know what "hexidecimal" means, I would recommend that you not make these edits because you can really screw things up if you don't know what you are doing.

I was able to change the settings in the registry to 1280x800 (500,320 hex) but when I loaded the game it changed back to a default of 640x480. The same thing happened when I tried the resolution you mentioned in the post. What am I doing wrong?

Work for me, I use 1600x1024 resolution. I can perform further tests if needed.

My monitor has a resolution of 1680x1050.
I already managed to make 1680, but how to make 1050??
I only was able to make 1049, is this also possible?
