Post Unreal Tournament 2004
Unreal Tournament 2004 supports native custom resolutions just like UT2003 above. Simply edit the ut2004.ini file in the system folder, look for the section below and edit accordingly:

[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
FullscreenViewportX = 1776
FullscreenViewportY = 1000
MenuViewportX = 1776
MenuViewportY = 1000

Also, you may want to edit the user.ini file and change the FOV (field of view) from to 106 since it is now in widescreen.

Note: One or more widescreen video clips and/or screenshots of this title are available in our LIBRARY.

Tigerdave!

Long time no see!....I used to help you out with a lot of the widescreen fixes and screen shots like the ones in UT2004, Painkiller, and Far Cry. We even used to play UT.....figured it out yet?

Does the name Max C strike your memory? Well, I still play some UT and some Guild Wars for clan FDG as you can see. Good to see that your site is still up and running....although I no longer have access to my...um your pictures! :D

Hey Max C! Long time indeed! Funny you should write because just last night I was reminiscing about the nightly UT2004 battles we would partake in.

You see, I've stopped playing my nightly games for some time now due to tenosynovitis (fancy word for inflammation of tendons). It's because I type and use a mouse all day, what else? For the past 3 months I've been seeing a physical therapist 2x per week. My hands are all stiff and achy in the morning (and I'm only 38!).

I do plan on returning to nightly gaming and UT2004, but for now, I'm just taking it easy and resting. How have you been? And which pictures do you need access to? The widescreen screenshots and video clips?

Well that sucks. I hope you recover soon. I've been doing pretty much the same, gaming and watching widescreen movies here in good ole North Carolina.

I don't actually need access to the pictures, I was just curious if the screenshots you were using for the various games were some that I submitted way back when. 8)

BTW...have you tried Guild Wars? It is a lot less keyboard sensitive and stressful than UT. I usually play some UT and then unwind with GW, which to me is a nice relaxing role playing game with no monthly fees. If you decide to take it up, let me know and I can send you an invite to our guild, so we can game on again!....ping is not an issue for this like it is for UT.

Nah, haven't tried Guild Wars. What is it? I went to the Guild Wars site and saw some nice screenshots, but still, what is it?

Post Guild Wars
Just curious, I have been really looking into playing Guild Wars, many people have raved about it, and I used to play rpg games like Galaxies and such but grew tired of them. Is Guild Wars really that great? And how hard is it to get in a clan?

Sorry for the slow response, I must have missed your post. It is a MMOPG...basically an multiplayer online game like World of Warcraft but no monthly fee. The newest version: Nightfall comes out in Oct.

Basically it is like Dungeons and Dragons. You make a character (monk, warrior, mage, necro...etc), level it up, get skills, armor, weapons, and fight in groups of 4-8 that can join you for a quest or mission. You play against the environment but there is an option to PvP in groups of 4 or 8 also. The cool thing is that you can only use 8 skills at a time, so you have to adjust your skills based on the area you are in and the group. You can also have a secondary that you can change once you get to a certain point. You can also use NPC henchmen if you wish to go it alone.

Pretty fun game. If you ever get it, just let me know....BTW I will be sending you a PM soon. I have a favor/question to ask. 8)
